Meet Sara: Founder & Designer

Hola, soy Sara! I am the founder and designer of SL Bags, and I’m thrilled to share my love for design and my Guatemalan roots with you. Each bag is a reflection of my passion for art, culture, and sustainability. I invite you to explore our collection—I’m sure you’ll fall in love with these timeless pieces!

 

Our team is powered by strong, determined women with inspiring stories. My sister duo, Claudia and Miriam, faced the loss of their family business during the pandemic in 2020. Amid their struggles, a church workshop on bag-making opened the door to a new beginning. With no money to attend, they worked together to make it possible, mastering the art of handmade bags. Partnering with them, we combined forces to design a line of unique, sustainable bags that celebrate Guatemalan culture and creativity.

 

Susan, our talented macrame artisan, adds a touch of elegance to every design. Her handcrafted charms bring distinctiveness to each bag, ensuring no two are ever alike.
